ONE YEAR AT MILLS CREEK

It’s hard to believe that a full year has passed since we came here.

In some ways, it feels like we’ve always been here…and in others, it feels like we’ve lived a lifetime in just twelve months.

When we first arrived, everything was new. Unfamiliar. Unsettled in its own way.

We knew we were being led here, but we didn’t fully understand why.

We just knew we needed to step away…to slow down…to come out of what felt like constant movement and into something quieter.

Something more grounded.

This past year has been a year of learning how to live .

Not just in where we are…but in how we move through our days.

We’ve learned to pay attention.

To the land. To the seasons. To the rhythms that don’t rush.

We’ve learned to let things take time. To not force what isn’t ready. To sit in the in-between without needing to define it too quickly.

There were moments of deep peace. And moments of stretching.

Moments where things felt clear…and others where we were simply walking forward in trust, one step at a time.

But somewhere along the way, something began to settle.

Not everything around us…but something within us.

And now, as we come into this next year, there is a different kind of clarity.

A Quiet, Steadying.

We feel a deeper pull toward what this place is meant to be.

Not just a home for our family…

But a place of gathering.

A place of rest. Of fellowship. Of shared meals and open doors.

A place where faith is not just spoken…but lived.

A quiet place in the country.

We don’t have everything figured out.

And we’re not trying to.

But we are learning to say yes…to what the Lord is placing in front of us.

To tend what has been given. To open our home. To walk this out with intention and humility.

This next season feels less like searching…and more like stepping into something that has been forming all along.

And if you’ve found your way here…

I want you to know you are welcome.

There is room at the table.

We’re just getting started 🌿
