SLOW & MINDFUL

Our family celebrates the new year in the spring, with the turn of the biblical Calendar & here we are once again, at the winding down of another year gone by , & a new year greeting us, with Spring and all of the new life that comes with her. This year as Spring & the Turning of year has come, I have pondered the things of this past year . The lessons learned , the days of endurance in creating the place of home. This year my heart has been filled with all of the questions, what it means to live slowly - simply - mindfully & with intention.

Being a slow, intentional homemaker is about more than just crafting a beautiful space—& while that is a necessary part & a beautiful gift to your family & the joy it brings …. It is about much more .

It’s about cultivating a life filled with love, purpose, and mindfulness.

Every dish washed and every corner tidied is a celebration of gratitude.

These mundane moments are appointments to commune with The Lord & let him speak to our heart & stir up his spirit within us.

These are times we take for granted ~ in the busy-ness of our days… Little pockets of quiet time to hear instruction , direction or inner reflection of things we need to change or mend .

Home is a blessing . The making of it , a gift. It’s an invitation to a beautiful calling & a divine journey for our home & family It inspires me to strive after patience and thoughtfulness. Pressing me to nurture the Fruits of the spirit in my life , & in my home .

My home reflects my heart, a testament to each slow, intentional choice I make.

Homemaking is no small thing. It is a high calling . A gift from the creator .

One that nothing else can ever replace.

My Hope & Desire , going into a New Year, is that I could be more intentional in my days & that my heart might reflect beauty & grace, patience & peace, & all of the lovely things that we, as women aspire in our hearts to be. For me, it looks like the fruits of the spirit .

Have you ever pondered What it looks like to slow down & be more mindful in your homemaking? Do your days feel rushed and chaotic, or unproductive and stressful?

My prayer is that you and I can slow down our hearts and minds & enjoy our Days in a deeper & more meaningful way. I hope that you are blessed & that you will come back and visit often as I share from my heart & pour out from my own Journey.

Be blessed & Happy Homemaking.
